Meet our Mentors
Dr. Andrea Gero
Pediatrics Resident R3
Growing up just north of LA, I moved out east for med school, and fell in love with seasons. Love to run, bike, snowboard, and play guitar and sample new craft brews when I get the chance. I'm excited about this project because it's a meaningful way to engage with our communities.

Dr. Czestochowa Francois
emergency medicine resident physician
I am interested in undertaking this project because it's a great opportunity to help inspire and meet various populations that I don't typically get to spend a lot of time with in the ED. Those that I have met have often expressed a wish that they could have met more like me earlier in their high school careers. I am also excited to work with excellent and dedicated teachers who have taken the time to craft this initiative.
Dr. Shante White
Resident Physician
Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, URMC
I've always enjoyed mentoring kids. I have always loved being involved in the community since I was in college. I'd return to my hometown during my winter and holiday breaks to speak to kids from my elementary, middle and high schools. I am excited to start working with you and your students. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Dr. Mofiyin Obadina,
Internal Medicine and Pediatrics PGY4,
URMC
I am excited to partner with you!! I love connecting with students about science- I discovered this during med school in Philly where a bunch of us came up with a practical science curriculum and found the kids getting really excited about it, since then I take any chance I get to geek out about science with kids.

internal medicine resident physician with a URMC/Strong
I'm originally from New Hampshire and then moved to Houston, TX for two years before I moved to Dallas to do medical school. I’m really looking forward to working with you and your students! I think the ultimate way we are going to see change with our country’s health literacy is to start in the classrooms, which is one of the reasons I wanted to get involved with this project!
